First mobile application of its kind offers new ways to manage from anywhere. NEW YORK, June 7, 2011 – The Tax & Accounting business of Thomson Reuters announced today that its mobile practice management application, Mobile CS, was honored on June 6, 2011 by CPA Practice Advisor with a Technology Innovation Award. "Mobile CS was the first application to provide practitioners with this kind of unprecedented access to the full power of their practice management system in a convenient mobile format," said Scott Fleszar, vice president, Strategic Marketing, Tax & Accounting, Thomson Reuters. "At more and more practices, mobile apps are becoming essential business tools for staying connected with firm data, staff, and clients. And this is just the beginning." This is the seventh Technology Innovation Award Thomson Reuters has earned since CPA Practice Advisor’s award program began in 2004. "There’s a lot of room to grow in the mobile arena," Fleszar said. "It’s been exciting for us to be at the forefront of this new technology, and the profession can expect even more in the months ahead." Mobile CS provides mobile access to a variety of content from Practice CS, the comprehensive practice management software from Thomson Reuters. Information available in Mobile CS includes client data, staff availability, time and expense entry, mileage and receipt tracking, project status, and key firm data including WIP and AR, all in a convenient, mobile-friendly format.
