Tax Year 2010 Product Notification Dear Lacerte Customer, We are pleased to announce the 5th release of Lacerte Tax Year 2010 is now available for download. You can log into My Account to download the latest update, or choose Lacerte Updates from the Tools menu. Click here to go to My Account to download the latest update. This release is available via internet download only. No CD will be shipped for this release. IMPORTANT CHANGES IN THIS RELEASEIMPORTANT! REP and Efile transmissions: We have made several significant updates to our internal systems to better allow us to serve you. If you are on an earlier version of Lacerte Tax Year 2010 you will not be able to perform the following functions until you download the latest version. You will be unable to:
It is important that you download this latest version of Lacerte to ensure your desktop software is in sync with our internal systems. Once you have downloaded and installed the latest version, all services should be restored. Changes to "E-Mail Lacerte Support": When you e-mail Lacerte Support via the in-product e-mail tool, it now submits a "service request" for your case. You will receive a solution to your question via e-mail. Once created, your cases will no longer show up in the in-product e-mail tool – they will now be listed only in the "Case History" area (located on the left-hand pane) of Lacerte My Account on our Web site. If the solution sent to you via e-mail does not solve your case, or you have other questions about the case, you must reply to Support directly from the case listed in the Case History within Lacerte My Account. Direct dial up connection no longer available: The ability to connect directly to the Intuit servers through the Communication Manager is no longer supported. Please follow the steps below to ensure you are using the appropriate connection type for transmissions (including efile transmissions) through the Communication Manager.
